Our returning children have happily and enthusiastically rejoined the provision with a spring in their step and happy to get stuck into exploring everything on offer.

We have also been welcoming our new cohort of children into the nursery and I have to say how pleased I am to see how smooth the settling in process has been for many of the children. Our team work hard to ensure that the children come into our busy setting feeling supported and safe and confident to launch into exploring, building relationships and learning.

We are also keen for our parents and carers to also feel supported and whilst it can be hard to let go and leave your child, we want them to know that they will be developing wonderful skills which will hold them in good stead for the remainder of their educational journey.

One big change we have made has been the renaming of all the rooms in our provision. We have taken inspiration from the work we do with reading and the fact that Ofsted specifically singled this out in their last inspection; "A strength of the school is the teaching of reading. " All our rooms have been named after reknowned children's authors. If you aren't sure who the these people are, my challenge is for you to find out more! I have, personally, spent many enjoyable hours reading with my son, many books from these fabulous authors. We hope that you find some inspiration as well.
