Booster Cushion Theatre - World Book Day Performance
Rebecca Cheetham children get treated to a performance from Phil from Booster Cushion Theatre, with a show that ties in perfectly to our current topic of Traditional Tales.
All of our children had a wonderful time as they experienced a wonderfully funny theatre performance from the energetic and engaging Phil from Booster Cushion Theatre Company. The children were literally roaring with laughter throughout the performance as Phil took the children on journey through a range of different traditional tales, nursery rhyme characters and fairytales starting with Red Riding Hood and including everyone from Humpty Dumpty to Grandma and the Three Little Pigs.
It was wonderful to see the children so engaged with the performance and they were all so very eager to be called up to join in with the show at various stages. The children were so well behaved and really got a great deal out of the performance and we hope it will invigorate their own role play experiences in the nursery provision. I was impressed today in the nursery as I saw children eagerly re-enacting the traditional tale of The Three Little Pigs.
Whilst it's not the same as being able to take the children to the theatre (it's so sad that Stratford Circus closed down; a real champion for supporting children's theatre), this was still a very valuable and important for the experience.
